Dr Jacob Taekke DMS. MS. DIP. DENT. graduated as dental surgeon (Tandlaege in Danish) from Aarhus University in Denmark 2001.

I have over 10 years experience placing implants and in 2017, I completed a diploma in dental implantology and oral maxillofacial surgery from the prestigious University of Toulouse.

Dental implants were first pioneered in Scandinavia and I was amongst the first students to actually place and restore dental implants as a part of the curriculum before graduating.

​

After working a couple of years in Denmark the call of adventure tempted me away and I went and worked in a private practice in Lisbon, Portugal, before moving permanently to the UK.

​

I have extensive experience with different implant systems. I have expert knowledge with Straumann, Neodent, Bicon, Anthogyr, Zimmer Biomet and Sweden and Martina implants.

I also restore implants from Astra, Ankylos, BioHorizons, Nobel Biocare, Bredent, Southern Implants, Adin and Megagen.

I am continuously undergoing education by attending courses in the UK and abroad. I am up to date on the latest technological developments such as ceramic implants, computer guided surgery and the advanced technology for harvesting and utilising patients own growth factors for enhanced healing.

​

I also provide mentoring to other Dentists who are looking to develop their skills and place implants.
